Sock Company Doubles Down on Helping The Homeless
After discovering that socks are the #1 requested item in homeless shelters, the gang at Bombas decided to do something about it. They started a sock company with the express purpose of donating their product. For every pair of socks you buy from Bombas, the company gives a pair to a person in need. And the best part is that while researching how best to help the homeless, Bombas has made some amazing design innovations with their product.
Marta Becket: Ballerina With A Dream
Upon, learning about Marta Becket and the dream she made real in Death Valley, we were blown away. After renting the theater for only $45 a month, Ms. Becket started her very own ballet theater in the middle of nowhere when she was 43 years old.

23% of folks over the age of 65 suffer from some kind of memory loss. Some of this cognitive loss could be the first steps towards Alzheimers or dementia and some of it is just plain, old fashioned getting old. Grover: Unlikely STEM Spokesperson...er...SpokesMuppet
Loveable, furry, old Grover has become Sesame Street’s go-to character to teach STEM principles to children. Why? Because he represents the children he is teaching. Rarely does Grover get things right, right? He is constantly finding himself in sticky situations that he doesn’t know how to get himself out of and THAT’S exactly why the producers of the show chose him to be their spokesperson for STEM.

A Well That Creates Drinking Water From Thin Air
One in nine people worldwide lives without access to clean drinking water, but the WaterSeer seeks to solve that problem by creating water - out of thin air. The wind-powered device uses condensation to extract moisture from the air and collect up to 11 gallons of potable water every day. After a fan pushes air below ground, a metal chamber cools it and then water particles collect in a reservoir.

I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends
It’s Black History Month here in America and when you think about the folks who put their lives on the line in order to form a more perfect union, you can not help but think about the Godmother of the civil rights movement, Rosa Parks. She came, she sat, she conquered.
But what you might not know is that in 1994, our great American hero was robbed in her home and assaulted, leaving her in great need. Something else you might not know is that this quiet patriot came to her aid in a huge way and never, ever told anyone about it.
