Woman Walks To Raise Money And Awareness For, Well...Hope
Every time you open your browser or pick up a newspaper these days, anxiety-inducing headlines virtually slap you in the face. The world seems to be literally turned upside down. It’s overwhelming and it’s difficult to know what to do or how to help. But for one woman, the answer was simple. Put one foot in front of the other.
Activist Emra Smith, has one mission; to raise awareness for hope by walking. That’s it, just walking for hope. Her first walk for hope was in 2016. Emra walked from her adopted hometown of Savannah, Georgia to Sarasota, Florida, spreading her message of hope and offering free life coaching from her mobile phone.
Most recently, she walked from Savannah all the way to Los Angeles, handing out her home made hope dolls and letting people know that it’s all going to be okay. Smith says she’s, “passionate about empowering women and making a difference in the world,” and THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is how you make a mark on the world; one mile at a time.
